The 2012 Show Season is just around the corner. The Show Schedule is complete and can be found on the Events section below. All of the show dates, and addresses are posted. We will be adding the show manager names, numbers and show stewards to this as well.
We are also working to clean up our email address listing and need for you to resend us your email address now and when they change. The web site is our main source of communication to the membership and having your correct email address helps us get the information to you! Check back to the web site frequently as new information will be posted under the News and Events column.
We are also working on the 1st HHSA and Hess Equine Services, LLC, Equine Coggins and Vaccine Clinic at the Equestrian Center on March 24, 2012. We will be offering coggins and vaccines at a reduced rate. We will be publishing the Registration Form shortly and we will let you know when everything is up. We are also working on a Riding Clinic that will be held on April 24, 2012 at the Equestrian Center, more details to follow. Stay Tuned.
The 2102 Membership Application is ready and you can select the 2012 Membership tab. After you enter you name and email, you can open, print, fill out and send your application off to Karen Cannon, Membership Chair. Membership Applications will not be mailed out this year.
You will also need to select the Committee/Volunteer tab to fill out your online eVolunteer Form. You can read through the committees and select the committees and tasks that you would like to volunteer for. As the committee and tasks fill, there will be a notice that we have enough volunteers for that specific activity.
We would also like to announce the resignation of Dr. Brenda May, HHSA Secretary from her post. Her schedule has finally settled down a little bit and she would like to spend more time with her family. The HHSA Board would like to sincerely thank Dr. May for her enthusiasm, communications to the membership and her valuable time. She will be missed by all of us!!! The board has filled Dr. May’s position with board member Becky Lohoefer. Becky was voted in by the Board of Directors. She will be sending out any email communications to you in the future.
We are also discussing the suggestion about letting Adults ride ponies and adding a Professional Medal. The board is currently reviewing this and will report back to you after our next board meeting in February. We need to look at all the options, possibilities, difficulties and fairness to all members. We will present this at the Open Meeting, so please plan on attending.
The Open Meeting will be on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, location TBD. So mark you calendars now. These Items will be voted on at the open meeting.
